Welcome to Cults Kart Club!
Cults Kart Club is a non-MSA club founded in 2001 with a handful of fun karters who developed into local racers and grew the club to its current level of 80-plus members. We run 10 fun meetings per year loosely governed by the Blue Book but using discretion to cover expense and fun. Most MSA classes are covered with classes for two stroke direct drive but we will find a place for any kart. Gearbox karts are now starting to prove popular and are accommodated with a long straight. Juniors specifically are encouraged covering Comer, WTP, Honda and TKM.
Membership for 2009 is now only £43 while race entries stay just £16 for seniors and £11 for juniors. If you are already a member of another club, why not try out a race meeting for a day membership of only £10 + entry fee. For more information you are very welcome to call Stuart Ferguson on 07980 983248 All entries must be received by 5pm on the preceding Wednesday. Our meetings are on the last Sunday of each month, January to October inclusive. Late entries can be accepted on the day but incur an extra charge of £5 and start at the back of the grids.
June Meeting
Results now in. Numbers a bit down because of holidays but a scorcher of a day with good clean racing.
** Photos now in. Some terrific action shots. Have a look at these!**
As always, if you see any apparent errors anywhere, even if we spell your name wrong, please e-mail the website and we will be happy to check it out.
Adjusted Total Column
It's that time of the year again. Now that we are over the half way point in the season the adjusted total column is added back in. For those of you who may be new to the club, your year end total is based on 9 meetings out of 10 and you drop your worst month. This column will continue to do it automatically for you.
Race Entries
For anyone new to the club, if you want to put in an entry for a monthly meeting, simply e-mail our race secretary Laura Scott on lls_77@hotmail.com with your details,-- name, class, kart number, and mention if you are a novice. Make sure you e-mail Laura before the deadline of 5pm on the preceeding Wednesday. There's no need to send money, just pay on the day. Any entry received after 5pm is treated as a late entry. Please don't e-mail the website as it is not checked every day.

End of Year Prizegiving, A.G.M.and buffet
This was a great night to end the season with the Grapes being packed out with 70 members and families/friends there for the AGM with 55 staying on and buying tickets for the prizegiving and buffet. For those who couldn't make it we have some photos in the gallery and the main points are- 2009 membership fees were approved at an equal £43 for everybody, with a family membership of £90 for everybody at one address. Chair, vice chair and treasurer continue as last year. Clerk of the course is again Jimmy Cameron. We have a new secretary - Laura Scott who will also be our race secretary- more details on race day entry format to follow. We have a full committee this year of Robert Logan, Calum Fraser, Iain Mcghie, Jim Laurie,Jimmy Cameron, Stuart Ferguson, Davie Allison and Jack Scott as our junior representative. Our membership secretary is again Stuart Ferguson. The main point made under the finance report is that each year we carry a huge insurance bill and we need to have as many entries on race days as possible, not just strangers circulating on their own. We also want to build a good club spirit and attendance at race days will help this. This was well received and there was a really encouraging response to our request for volunteers to help on race days, with promises of "job sharing" to cover all circumstances. Lap scorers will be Natalie, Gloria, Linda and Suzanne, Grid marshals will be Stuart and Alan Richardson, Weights marshals will be T.J. and Derek Scott, Scrutineer will be Fraser, supported by Jimmy. Chief marshal will again be Gordon, supported by Ryan Allison and Alan Marshal. It was agreed that a standby pool of marshals will also be raised from the senior grids on a rotating basis, filling in gaps as required. Starters will be Lesley Smith and Russell Allison. Bob will handle press and photos but if anyone has a good camera and fancies job sharing with trackside shots for the website, please contact bob or e-mail the website. We will update the constitution and forms and will write out to everybody in January. If you want to make a note of your points tally this year, please do this before christmas week when the points totals will be cleared ready for next year. Have a great christmas and see you on the starting grid for the new season. Cheers Bob.
